Dr. Derek Dawson, Owner

Dr. Derek Dawson is proud to be part of the St. George community, a place he and his family have long admired and are thrilled to now call home. With a strong passion for helping others, Dr. Dawson is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment.

He earned his dental degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where he received advanced training in dental implants, 3D imaging, clear aligners, CAD/CAM dentistry, and sedation. He also participated in a life-changing humanitarian trip to Tonga, where he provided dental care to underserved communities.

Following dental school, Dr. Dawson served four years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina. During his service, he gained extensive experience in oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and complex extractions, all under the guidance of highly skilled mentors.

Dr. Dawson’s personal experience with dental anxiety as a child—stemming from extensive dental work—gives him a unique understanding of patients’ concerns. His goal is to help others feel at ease while achieving healthy, confident smiles.

Outside the office, Dr. Dawson enjoys life with his wife, Mary, and their five children—four boys and one little girl. As a family, they love traveling, sports, bike rides, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with loved ones. They're excited to enjoy all that St. George has to offer and to build lasting connections within the community.

Mary, Scheduling Coordinator

Mary is an experienced Insurance Coordinator based in Saint George, Utah, who has spent seven years supporting her husband, Dr. Dawson, in the dental industry. Originally from Idaho, Mary and Dr. Dawson share a lifelong connection—they grew up together, married before being stationed in South Carolina, and now work side by side in their dental practice.

In her role, Mary expertly manages insurance processes to ensure smooth and efficient patient experiences, balancing precision with compassion. As a devoted mother of five, she embraces the active, outdoor lifestyle that Saint George offers, cherishing family adventures in the beautiful Utah landscape.

Beyond her professional and family commitments, Mary has a love for dance and is known for her rhythm like no other—a joyful passion that brings energy and balance to her busy life.
